“Happy New Year to the good people of Kano State. May 2025 bring us peace, prosperity, and more unity,” Gov. Yusuf stated, pledging to work diligently to enhance the lives of all citizens.

Highlighting the timely approval of the 2025 budget, the governor emphasized its role in fast-tracking development across key sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, and agriculture.

He outlined plans to complete ongoing road projects, expand healthcare facilities, improve education standards, and provide farmers with essential tools and resources to boost productivity and reduce food costs.

The governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to youth and women empowerment through skill acquisition programs and better access to credit facilities for small and medium-sized enterprises.

“In 2025, the result of our declaration of a state of emergency on education will continue to manifest as we allocated a lion’s share of 31 per cent of the year’s budget for education to reaffirm our promise of reforming the sector,” Gov. Yusuf added.

The governor urged the people of Kano to remain united and supportive of the government’s vision, expressing hope that the year would usher in improved living standards and increased economic opportunities across the state.
