The distribution, which took place on Monday at the Government House, Kano, was carried out on behalf of the governor by his Chief of Staff, Dr. Sulaiman Wali Sani (mni). Yusuf urged the beneficiaries to put the vehicles to good use, stressing that the gesture was part of his administration’s commitment to strengthening service delivery.

According to the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, who issued a statement on the event, more vehicles will be provided to other MDAs until all are covered. “This initiative is designed to deliver democratic dividends directly to the people and to encourage better performance from government agencies,” the statement quoted Yusuf as saying.

Speaking on behalf of the recipients, Executive Secretary of the Kano State Censorship Board, Abba El Mustapha, thanked the governor and pledged that the vehicles would be used efficiently to support the state government’s development agenda.

Beneficiaries include the Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, Kano State Censorship Board, Kano State Library Board, Ministry of Internal Security and Special Services, Urban Planning and Development Authority, Kano State Radio Corporation, Bureau of Statistics, Cottage Trade and Street Hawking Agency, Government House Ambulance Unit, and Nuhu Bamalli Hospital. The Kano Hisbah Board received 15 motorcycles.
