Daily News 24 reports that Governor Yusuf made the remarks on Tuesday while addressing residents at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, the venue for the anniversary event.

He described CP Bakori’s action as unpatriotic, unprofessional, and unethical, stressing that it undermined a celebration that the people of Kano had eagerly anticipated. The governor said the event would not have taken place without his insistence.

“The people of Kano deserve honest and fair security officers who protect lives and property without bias,” Governor Yusuf stated. “We do not want individuals who come to create problems in a state where peace has been sustained.”

He added that he plans to submit a formal complaint to the President regarding CP Bakori’s conduct.

Governor Yusuf also expressed appreciation to other security agencies for their dedication and assured residents of his continued commitment to maintaining peace and promoting the progress of Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.
