Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has awarded plots of land to 35 distinguished individuals in recognition of their significant contributions to the state’s growth and development.
The initiative serves as both a token of appreciation and a source of motivation, encouraging more residents to pursue excellence in their respective fields.

Governor Yusuf shared that this land gift is part of a broader plan to recognize exceptional individuals, with upcoming phases set to honor religious leaders and retired public servants.
Among the awardees were notable figures such as Prof. Shehu Ahmad Said Galadanchi, the former Nigerian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and Hajiya Hauwa Ibrahim, the first female Commissioner of Police in Northwestern Nigeria. Both expressed their gratitude and pledged to support the governor’s administration in delivering on its campaign promises.
Governor Yusuf reiterated his commitment to celebrating the achievements of Kano’s citizens, stating that recognizing excellence is crucial to inspiring future generations and further advancing the state’s development.
