Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved new appointments and promotions aimed at enhancing governance and service delivery in the state.

Daily News 24 reports that the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, confirmed the changes in a statement on Wednesday, highlighting the inclusion of experienced professionals and emerging leaders.
Key appointments:
Architect Hauwa Hassan Tudun Wada has been named the Managing Director of the Kano Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA). A Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and Vice Chairperson of Female Architects in Nigeria, she previously served as a professional architect at the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA). Hauwa holds multiple degrees in architecture from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.
Mustapha Muhammad has been appointed as Chief Press Secretary to the Governor and deputy official spokesperson. A veteran journalist with over 20 years of experience, he was formerly a senior broadcaster with the BBC. He holds BSc and MSc degrees in Mass Communication and is pursuing a PhD in the same field.
Auwal Lawan Aramposu has been assigned as Deputy Managing Director of the Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA). He previously served as chairman of Nasarawa Local Government and as Senior Special Assistant on ICT to a former Kano State governor.
Dr. Tukur Dayyabu Minjibir has been appointed Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture. A former Managing Director of Kano Agricultural Supply Company, he is also a senior lecturer at ABU Zaria. Dr. Minjibir holds a PhD in Agricultural Engineering, specializing in mechanization.
Promotions:
Zulaihat Yusuf Aji has been elevated to Deputy Managing Director of Radio Kano. Before this role, she was the Senior Special Assistant on Broadcast (1) at the Government House Media and Public Relations Directorate. A seasoned journalist, she built her career at Freedom Radio Kano.
Engineer Abduljabbar Nanono has been promoted to Deputy Managing Director of KHEDCO. He holds a Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy and previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Renewable Energy.
Governor Yusuf urged the appointees to be diligent in their duties, assuring them of his administration’s full support.
