Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved new appointments into several key agencies and institutions in a bid to improve governance and service delivery across the state.

This was announced in a statement on Friday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Among those appointed is Dr. Bashir A. Muzakkar, who will now head the Kano State Information and Communication Technologies Development Agency (KASITDA) as Director General. Dr. Muzakkar previously served as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital and Creative Economy.

Kabiru Saidu Dakata has been appointed as Director General of the Kano State Advert and Signage Agency (KASA), while Dr. Fatima Abdul Abubakar, popularly known as Amneef, will now serve as Director General of the Kano State Social Protection Agency (KASPA). Until her new role, Dr. Fatima was the Special Adviser on Enlightenment and Social Mobilization.

Other appointments include Engr. Isyaku Umar Kwa as Deputy Managing Director of the Kano State Housing Corporation and Hamisu Musa Gambo Danzaki as Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board.

Also named were Barrister Isma’il Nasarawa as Provost of the Anti-Corruption Institute and retired Captain Mohd Bello Maigaskiya Gabasawa as Commandant of the Corporate Security Institute.

Governor Yusuf expressed confidence in the abilities of the new appointees, describing them as experienced professionals who will contribute meaningfully to the progress of the state.
