Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has named the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Dr. Muhammad Mahraz Karaye, as the head of the 2025 Hajj Delegation Committee to oversee the coordination and welfare of pilgrims from the state during their journey to Saudi Arabia.

This was made known in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman A. Dederi. According to the statement, the committee will serve as the central body responsible for managing all pilgrimage-related affairs until the end of the 2025 Hajj exercise.
Governor Yusuf stated that the selection of the Emir of Karaye to lead the delegation was part of efforts to ensure efficient organization and smooth conduct of the Hajj activities for Kano pilgrims.
Other members of the delegation include Kano Municipal lawmaker Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji; Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Tijjani Auwal; Hisbah Commandant Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa; Sheikh Tijjani Bala Kalarawi; Sheikh Dr. Bashir Aliyu Umar; Dr. Al-Fatihi Karbullah; Alhaji Yusuf Lawan; Sheikh Isma’il Ilyasu Mangu; Sheikh Tijjani Sani Maihula; Alhaji Abdullahi Kabir Yusuf; Hajiya Aisha Munnir Matawalle; and Sheikh Basheer Arabi.
The secretary of the committee is Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa.
Others appointed to serve in the secretariat and reportorial roles include Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu Muktar, Alhaji Muhammad Ghali Muhammad, Alhaji Umar Yakubu Kabara, Alhaji Murtala Lawan Sani, Hajiya Kubura Ibrahim Dankani, Hajiya Batulu Isa Waziri, Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammad Indabawa, and Alhaji Hussani Abdul Inuwa.
Governor Yusuf charged all members to carry out their responsibilities with utmost commitment and sincerity, praying for divine guidance in fulfilling the task ahead.
