Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has presented permanent and pensionable appointment letters to 400 newly recruited Mathematics teachers across the state’s secondary schools.

According to a statement from the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the recruitment is aimed at addressing shortages in critical subjects that have affected student performance and career readiness. The Governor noted that Mathematics forms the foundation for science, technology, engineering, and innovation, stressing the importance of building a strong base for students to compete in a knowledge-driven world.
Governor Yusuf said the new teachers would enhance teaching quality, improve examination results, and strengthen students’ pathways into STEM fields. He commended the Ministry of Education and the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB) for conducting a transparent and effective recruitment process.
He urged the teachers to perform their duties with passion, dedication, and professionalism, emphasizing that they must justify the confidence placed in them.
