Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Lamurde Local Government Area as part of efforts to curb rising insecurity in the region.

The directive, which takes immediate effect, comes in response to recent outbreaks of violence and reported threats to peace in several communities within Lamurde.
According to a statement issued in Yola by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, security agencies have been ordered to ensure strict compliance with the curfew. He warned that anyone found flouting the directive would face arrest and legal consequences.
Governor Fintiri reiterated his administration’s commitment to the safety and protection of lives and property across the state, assuring residents that all necessary steps are being taken to restore calm.
