The commitment was disclosed in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa. During the 34th Executive Council Meeting at Government House, Kano, the governor commended President Tinubu for taking firm steps to address the worsening security situation, especially in the North.

Governor Yusuf reaffirmed that Kano would work closely with all security agencies to ensure the success of the new security directive. He also addressed emerging threats within the state, noting concerns over bandits reportedly entering some areas in the Northern Senatorial District. He assured residents that coordinated efforts were underway to confront the situation.

He urged citizens to remain calm, stressing that the government remains alert and committed to protecting lives and property.

The governor also expressed appreciation for public support and said the 2026 budget would focus on improving the living conditions of residents through infrastructure and human capital development.
