Determined to ensure compliance with President Muhammadu Buhari’s call for decongestion of correctional centres, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on Saturday released 90 inmates.

The figure brings to 3,898 the total number of inmates who have enjoyed the governor’s pardon across Kano state within a period of seven years.

A statement signed by Abba Anwar, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, which was obtained by PlatinumPost on Saturday, said the exercise is conducted through the State Prerogative of Mercy Committee at the intervals of Sallah festivities.
