In a condolence message released through his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje described the late Madam Lydia as a devout woman who lived a life of service to God, her family, and her community. He said her values and discipline are reflected in the leadership qualities of her son, who today heads the ruling party.

Ganduje noted that losing a mother is among life’s deepest pains but urged the Yilwatda family to take solace in the fact that Madam Lydia lived a fulfilled life marked by moral uprightness, compassion, and the nurturing of responsible citizens.

“On behalf of my family, associates, and supporters, I extend heartfelt condolences to our National Chairman, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, and the entire Yilwatda family,” Ganduje stated. “Mama Lydia will be remembered for her moral values, her selflessness, and her lasting contributions to society. Though her passing is a great loss, her legacy remains a source of strength.”

He also called on members of the APC across the country to rally around Yilwatda in solidarity during this difficult moment.
