Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced palliatives to help Lagos residents cope with the effects of the removal of fuel subsidies.

Lagos bus fares will be reduced by 50% beginning Wednesday.

Sanwo-Olu has also approved a 25% reduction in yellow bus fees, which will be made official by their union.

“FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu has announced Palliatives to cushion the effect of the Fuel subsidy removal: – 50% reduction on Lagos Buses from Wednesday,” said Jubril Gawat, the governor’s media aide.

“A 25% reduction in yellow bus fees will be officially announced by their body.”
