The Chairman, Christain Association of Nigeria(CAN), Kaduna State, Reverend Joseph John Hayab raised an alarm over the continual scarcity of fuel in Nigeria despite the hard economic situations.

However, the chairman demanded the Minister of Petroleum to apologize to Nigerians or resign from his position.

In a press release titled “Fuel scarcity has doubled Nigerian wahala” According to the statement, Nigerians are still facing insecurities, poverty, and currently fuel crisis without holding government accountable.

He added that, “CAN is worried and wondering who is responsible for this bad product and scarcity.

The statement raised some questions; We are compelled to ask who is our Minister of petroleum? What has he and the ministry done to avert and remedy this situation?

The statement added that “Do the pains we are facing not enough for the minister to make a public apology or honorably resign for not delivering the service Nigerians are yearning to get?

Nigerians should not continue to suffer due to the negligence and incompetence of people holding public offices. why should our leaders abuse the patience of our Citizens?

Mr. Joseph added that “Nigerians are considered to resilience to bad governance and poor service delivery, which causes deaths that could have been avoided by many family members, friends, and associates”

He lamented that, “How can Nigeria be major oil producer, but have failed to fix the refineries and resolve challenges of oil subsidy in Nigeria”

  1. “Our power distributions are still poor and many Nigeria depends on fuel to power their generators at home. What a double tragedy on patriotic citizens, who will pay for this unwarranted suffering? He said.

He discloses that, “ Government should take responsibilities to serve their citizens or resign for failure services to the nation, this evil may not end soon”, Hayab said.
