The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has advised commercial motorcyclists in Osun on the need to be safety conscious on the highway always in order to avoid fatal accidents.

The Osun FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Paul Okpe, gave the advice on the sidelines of the command’s road show on safety tips on Friday in Osogbo and warned the riders to shun alcohol and other intoxicants.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the road show was jointly organised by the corps and a motorcycle company to sensitise commercial motorcycle owners on the need to be safety conscious on highways .

Okpe said that the command was resolved to ensure that motorcycle riders obeyed the road traffic regulations especially as the year 2022 was ending.

He said that Chanlin and Shiroro motorcycle company, has continued to play key roles in ensuring that commercial motorcyclist are kept informed on dangers associated with riding recklessly.

Okpe , however , charged road stakeholders to join hands with the command during and after the ember months as safety wa shared responsibility.

In his remarks, the Managing Director, Chanlin and Shiroro motorcycle company, Mr Emmanuel Eze, commended the corps for the synergy and concerted efforts towards sensitising commercial motorcycle riders in the state on safety tips .

Eze said the Chanlin and Shiroro motorcycle company would continue to play its role in ensuring that roads remain safe for riders especially during and after the ember months.
