The group, which includes former Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), Special Assistants (SAs), and Personal Assistants (PAs), made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the state Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, in Kano.
Speaking during the visit, the former aides presented their grievances, emphasizing that they had not received their benefits since the end of the previous administration.
Responding to their concerns, Commissioner Waiya assured them that their plea would be forwarded to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for consideration.
He also acknowledged the group as legitimate former government appointees who rendered service to the state under Ganduje’s administration. Waiya added that the current government has already made efforts to settle similar obligations owed to pensioners, BESDA staff, and former councillors.
