The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday by its spokesperson, A.S. Akinlabi.
According to the NIS, the upward adjustment was introduced to ensure the continued quality, security, and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport.
Under the new structure, a 32-page passport with five years’ validity will now cost N100,000, while the 64-page passport with ten years’ validity will be issued at N200,000. However, fees for Nigerians in the diaspora remain unchanged at $150 for the 32-page and $230 for the 64-page options.
The NIS reaffirmed its commitment to keeping the Nigerian passport at global standards while also striving to balance quality service delivery with accessibility for all citizens.
