The Federal Government has announced that Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, 2024, will be public holidays in observance of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration.

The declaration was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja on behalf of the Federal Government.

The Minister extended his congratulations to the Muslim Ummah both in Nigeria and abroad on this special occasion.

He encouraged the Muslim community to continue embracing the values of peace, kindness, and sacrifice exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).

Additionally, he called on the Ummah to use this period to pray for the unity, prosperity, and stability of the country.

Minister Tunji-Ojo reassured Nigerians that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is dedicated to protecting the lives and property of all citizens.

In his message, the Minister wished the Muslim Ummah a joyous Eid-ul-Adha celebration and urged all Nigerians to contribute to building a prosperous nation for future generations.
