Kano – Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu has ordered lawyers to refrain from granting media interviews in the ongoing Kano emirates tussle case at the State High Court.
The presiding judge issued the directive during today’s proceedings at Audu Bako Secretariat, stating, “It’s my order for you (lawyers) not to grant any interview with the press even before and after my ruling on the pending appeal on stay of proceedings filed by the first respondent.”

The case involves the Attorney General of Kano State, Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, and the Kano State House of Assembly seeking to restrain Aminu Ado-Bayero and four other dethroned emirs from parading themselves as emirs.
The respondents include Alhaji Aminu Ado-Bayero, Alhaji Nasiru Ado-Bayero, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar II, Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad-Inuwa, and Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim-Gaya, along with the Inspector General of Police, Director of the State Security Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Nigeria Army.
