Sanusi made the declaration on Saturday while receiving the executive committee and elders of the Kano State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) during a courtesy visit to his palace.
Reflecting on his early education in a Catholic school, the Emir noted that his experiences as a youth helped shape his respect for different faiths and the value of religious tolerance.
He encouraged religious leaders to pray for lasting peace, particularly given recent security challenges in some border areas, and highlighted the need for ongoing interfaith collaboration to strengthen unity and stability at both state and national levels. The Emir also expressed appreciation to the PFN for presenting him with the Peace Award.
Earlier, Rev. Elkanah Enweluzor, chairman of PFN Kano State, said the visit aimed to show support for the Emir’s leadership and his ongoing efforts in fostering peace in the state.
