The 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has called on foreign investors to take advantage of the vast business opportunities available in Kano State, assuring them of high returns and a supportive investment climate.

Speaking at the International Financial Investment and Trade Conference in Tunisia, the former Central Bank Governor described Nigeria as a rapidly expanding economy with key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, ICT, innovation, and finance offering huge potential for growth.
Sanusi highlighted Kano’s unique strengths, including a population of over 22 million, rich natural resources, and a strategic location that connects it to regional and international markets. He noted that these features, combined with government incentives and ease of doing business policies, make the state a prime destination for investors.
He also cited the success of Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote as evidence that Nigeria provides a favorable environment for building global business empires.
The Emir emphasized that Kano’s well-established commercial infrastructure and active international markets make it a vital hub for trade and industry in West Africa. According to him, investors who take early advantage of Kano’s opportunities are likely to witness viral business growth.
The conference attracted notable dignitaries, including the Governor of Bauchi State and Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, and served as a platform for African leaders to promote regional trade and economic partnerships.
