Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has cautioned ADC Vanguard, a group linked to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), against circulating statements falsely attributed to him.

The warning followed a now-deleted post in which ADC Vanguard quoted El-Rufai as describing President Bola Tinubu’s administration as “Nigeria’s most corrupt, dishonest government,” alleging widespread fraud and favoritism across various sectors.
El-Rufai quickly disowned the statements, clarifying that he never made such comments and stressing that fabricating quotes is not a truthful way to represent the party.
In response, ADC Vanguard issued an apology to El-Rufai for misattributing the remarks and promised to rely solely on “verified and authentic sources” in the future.
