EKEDC assures customers of 20-hour power supply as NERC transfers 33 additional feeders to Band A

Additional customers within the Eko Electricity Distribution Company’s franchise area will soon benefit from a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours of daily power supply. This upgrade is in accordance with the newly approved Multi-Year Tariff Order (MYTO) by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). To achieve this, 33 more feeders will be upgraded to Band A.

In a recent statement, Babatunde Lasaki, the general manager of Corporate Communications at EKEDC, reassured customers within the EKEDC network that efforts are being made to enhance the quality of service provided to them.

The 33 additional feeders include Adeleke Adedoyin, Ajeast, Annex, Army Resettlement, British America Tobacco, CIG, Coker, Dideolu, Droyers, Empire Court, Estate, Etim Inyang, Firro, Freeman, Glover, Heritage, M&K Express, Mega Plaza, Montgomery 1, Moore Road, Nest Oil, NIMR, Nipost, Osborne, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Palace Road, Rocky Estate, Rumens, Smith, Station Feeder, Victoria Arobieke, DPR and Nitel.

Lasaki mentioned that the recent approval of 33 additional Band A feeders brings the total number of Band A feeders for EKEDC to 54. He mentioned that they are working on improving their service to better serve their customers. They are planning to expand the list of Band A feeders to provide more customers with a guaranteed 20 hours of power supply every day.
