Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has visited Kano State to extend his condolences to the families of 16 hunters who were brutally killed in Uromi, Edo State.

During his visit on Monday, Governor Okpebholo met with Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and other top officials at the Government House in Kano. He expressed deep sorrow over the killings and reassured that his administration is collaborating with security agencies to bring those responsible to justice.

He disclosed that 14 suspects have been apprehended and investigations are in progress to uncover the full details of the attack. Okpebholo also stressed that his government would not tolerate violence against any group, pledging transparency in the ongoing probe.

Governor Yusuf, in response, urged the Edo State government to ensure swift prosecution of the suspects, reveal their identities, and provide compensation to the victims’ families. The Kano State government has strongly condemned the attack, demanding a comprehensive investigation to ensure justice is served.
