The new members were formally welcomed into the ADC on Sunday by Senator Abubakar Gada, a prominent figure in the coalition movement of the party.
Speaking at the event, Senator Gada described the defection as a reflection of growing discontent with the APC-led government, noting that many Nigerians are dissatisfied with its handling of economic and security challenges.
He stressed that insecurity has continued to disrupt agriculture, which is the mainstay of the Eastern Senatorial District of Sokoto, plunging communities into poverty, unemployment, and hunger.
According to him, the move to the ADC shows that more citizens are seeking credible alternatives to the ruling party.
