Donald Trump has claimed a second term in the White House, winning four crucial battleground states and securing the needed 270 Electoral College votes.

His victory was sealed with a win in Wisconsin, following earlier triumphs in North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, ensuring a decisive electoral lead.

While votes are still being counted in Michigan, Arizona, and Nevada, the outcomes in these states will not impact Trump’s path to victory. The 45th president, now also the 47th, celebrated with his family and running mate, JD Vance, pledging a “golden age for America” and calling his success “the greatest political movement of all time.”

As Republicans likely regain control of the Senate, signaling further gains for Trump’s party, Kamala Harris has yet to comment on the loss. Harris had planned to address supporters at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where a watch party ultimately ended early, with attendees disheartened by the unexpected result.

Trump’s re-election has sparked congratulatory messages from world leaders, marking a new chapter for his administration as he prepares to return to the Oval Office.
