In a Wednesday night statement signed by Adejobi, Egbetokun commended the outgoing FPRO for his service, describing his contributions to enhancing the police’s image and communication strategy as “remarkable.”

During his tenure, Adejobi faced controversies, including online disputes with citizens and journalists, personal attacks on critics, and defending actions perceived as police excesses.

He has been replaced by CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, formerly the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command. Hundeyin, a seasoned communicator with experience in international peacekeeping and crisis communication, is expected to lead the force’s public relations strategy and promote transparency.
