Award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido, has disclosed what transpired after his supportive involvement for the #EndSARS protest that shook Nigeria in 2020.

Davido, in a recent interview with, South African media personnel, Trevor Noah talked about the impact of his song ‘FEM’, which was released before the protest started.

He, however, stressed that it was an “amazing” experience watching his voice become an “instrument” used to request for change, but he said it got him into a lot of trouble.

He told Trevor Noah: “I got into a lot of trouble. I had to actually leave the country. It was that bad.

“I was reposting everything that had to do with the campaign. It was amazing to see people come out like that.”

“And I will say this: they listened to us. They heard us. They might not have changed anything but they were shook.”

Naija News recalls that Davido released FEM after he took a long break from social media and was a response to his critics; it, however, turned to be the biggest song during the End SARS protest in 2020. [Naijanews]
