Hamdiyyah Sharif, known for her outspoken criticism of Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu, has been reported missing.

Her lawyer, Abba Hikima, raised the alarm on Tuesday via a Facebook post, disclosing that she was last seen around 10 a.m. that day when she left her home in Sokoto to buy groceries.

Hikima stated that all efforts to reach her have so far been unsuccessful.

He confirmed that the matter has been reported to the Sokoto State Police Command, and called on security agencies to intensify efforts to trace her whereabouts.

As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement from the police.
