The judge announced the date on Friday after Kanu once again declined to open his defense, a position he has maintained throughout earlier proceedings.
At the hearing, Kanu submitted a fresh motion questioning the legality of his trial. He argued that terrorism is no longer recognized as a criminal offense in Nigeria.
According to him, the repeal of the Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act, which previously defined terrorism-related offenses, renders the charges against him invalid.
