The Bayero University Kano (BUK) College of Health Sciences has inducted 87 medical doctors and 16 dentists, marking their entry into the esteemed profession.

Speaking at the induction Tuesday in Kano, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, the Vice-Chancellor of BUK, congratulated the inductees for completing their programmes.

He highlighted the timeliness of the induction, especially amidst challenges like medical brain drain, where many young and talented minds leave the country.

Represented by Professor Mahmoud Umar Sani, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Management Services, Prof. Abbas emphasised the critical need for a dedicated and well-trained workforce in healthcare to supplement the efforts of existing professionals who have served the nation heroically.

He urged the newly inducted doctors and dentists to view the induction not only as the culmination of their studies but also as the beginning of their service to humanity.
