Yazid-Abukur, who serves as the Managing Director of the Katsina State Road Maintenance Agency (KASSROMA), announced the donation in Katsina after a video of the grave diggers at Buhari’s Daura residence surfaced on social media.
He explained that the team leader, Muhammad Ali, would receive N500,000, while the remaining two workers would each get N250,000. According to him, arrangements were already underway to trace and deliver the funds to the beneficiaries.
The gesture, he said, was intended to empower the workers and help them start small businesses that could sustain them and their families.
Yazid-Abukur also commended Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State for what he described as exceptional commitment before, during, and after the funeral rites of the late president. He noted that the governor’s physical presence at the burial was a symbol of humility and true leadership.
He concluded by praying for Allah’s forgiveness for the former president and asked that he be granted Aljannatul Firdaus.
