Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has reinstated the dethroned 14th Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II as the new Emir of Kano.
Daily news 23 reports that the governor made the announcement on Thursday at the Kano Government House, minutes after signing the new law that dissolved the five emirates of Gaya, Bichi, Rano, Kano and Karaye, created by his predecessor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Sanusi is expected to arrive in the state tomorrow Friday, from Rivers State, where he is attending a summit.
