The Bauchi state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has concluded arrangements to hold its annual Press Week from 24th to 30th, September, 2021, Isah Gadau, the council secretary, has announced.

A statement he issued to newsmen in Bauchi, on Thursday indicated that the event, tagged “The media, national security And socio-economic development”, would feature lectures, marathon prayers for peace in churches and mosques, as well as a news conference.

According to him, other activities lined up for the event are award presentations to deserving individuals and groups and the council’s quarterly congress to discuss pressing issues.

He called on the leadership of the 11 existing chapels of the council to mobilize their members for full participation and coverage of the events, saying, ”we expect full coverage of the week-long exercise”. (NAN)
