The announcement was made on Sunday in a statement by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, who explained that the move was part of what he described as a minor adjustment to the composition of the State Executive Council.
While no specific reason was given for Hajiya Takko’s removal, Governor Mohammed commended her service to the state and wished her success in her future endeavors.
Hajiya Takko was sworn in as Commissioner on September 9, 2024, alongside two other new appointees. Prior to that, she had served as the Caretaker Chairperson of Bauchi Local Government Area, an appointment she received from Governor Mohammed in July 2023.
