The announcement came on Thursday during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Bauchi State Government and the China Global Promotion Cooperation Research Centre, held in Bauchi.
Governor Mohammed said the collaboration is designed to position Bauchi as a hub for international cooperation while accelerating investment and development in key sectors including agriculture, education, healthcare, manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, and trade facilitation.
Under the agreement, Bauchi will establish a representative office in China to oversee projects and ensure they are delivered on schedule. The partnership, the governor noted, aligns with the broader diplomatic engagement between President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria and President Xi Jinping of China.
He described the MoU as a step towards transforming lives, attracting foreign direct investment, creating jobs, and modernizing critical sectors of the state’s economy.
Mr. Li, who also serves as chairman of the China Global Promotion Cooperation Research Centre, assured of the Centre’s commitment to driving Bauchi’s economic growth through sustainable development, modern infrastructure, and improved livelihoods for its people.
