Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin has vowed to push a motion in the Senate to ensure justice for Northern travelers killed in Uromi, Edo State.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Barau condemned the attack and urged security agencies to act swiftly.
A mob reportedly intercepted the victims, mostly Hausa hunters traveling to Kano for Sallah, ransacked their vehicle, and murdered them.
Calling the act barbaric, Barau urged the Edo State Police and other security operatives to take decisive action. He assured that justice would be served and called for calm.
“I strongly condemn this senseless killing. Security agencies must act swiftly to arrest and prosecute those responsible,” he stated.
Barau also emphasized national unity, extended condolences to the victims’ families, and assured them of justice.
