Again, Two people were killed while a Catholic priest, Father Joseph Akeke, was abducted by bandits at the Kudenda community in the suburb of Kaduna metropolis.

Residents in the community said the bandits attacked the area around 1am.

According to the sources, “The operation ended around 2:30am. Those killed were the local security guard at the Reverend father’s house, and another resident, while a woman and her two children were abducted alongside the man of God.”

“We couldn’t sleep last night due to tension and gunshots,” he said.

Police spokesman Mohammed Jalige said security operatives will conduct investigations and also rescue the victims.

Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna State, Rev Joseph John Hayab also confirmed the incident.
