Multi-award-winning Broadcaster and Filmmaker, Prince Daniel (ABOKI) said his latest project titled Mai Martaba (His Royal Highness) will hit the cinemas from June 10 this year.

Aboki disclosed this at a press briefing organized in Kano to announce the commencement of principal photography; saying the film would open in cinemas nationwide and it’s expected to make it to Netflix, an international streaming platform.

Addressing Newsmen, Aboki revealed that the film which would be shot on location in Daura portraits the rich Hausa culture, tradition and royal power-play.

He further states that 99.9 percent of the actors are new entrants into the industry.

A gesture he believes would broaden the creative sector’s value chain especially in northern Nigeria where the narrative hitherto has been that of insugency, banditry and kidnapping.
