Atalanta BC are playing hardball over the potential transfer of star forward Ademola Lookman, with the club reportedly demanding €70 million for the Super Eagles player.

Lookman’s future at Atalanta has come under scrutiny after he was unexpectedly left on the bench during the club’s comfortable 2-0 victory over Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

His omission raised questions about his long-term position at the club.

The Nigerian forward has been in stellar form for Atalanta, drawing significant attention from top clubs across Europe. Reports indicate that Atalanta is keen to capitalize on Lookman’s rising profile and will not entertain any offers below their €70 million asking price.

Italian journalist Paolo Paganini shared insights into the ongoing transfer saga, revealing that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) remains interested in Lookman despite failing to secure his signature in the summer transfer window.

“Lookman, I know that PSG’s summer interest has remained intact,” Paganini said. “He is on Paris Saint-Germain’s shopping list, but it remains to be seen if Atalanta can do without someone like Lookman in January.”

With the January transfer window approaching, it remains to be seen whether PSG or any other club will meet Atalanta’s hefty asking price for the talented forward.
