Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil Chapter is set to embark on strike any moment from now.
Chairperson of the ASUU Chapter Malam Muhammad Sani Gaya announced this in an exclusive interview with Daily News 24 on Friday.
Gaya said the measure of embarking on the strike is as a result of non payment of staff allowances.

He added that their demands have been there for a very long time that need to be addressed, but the University Management did not fulfill all the promises made to the association.
“Allowances of 2015, 2016, 2017, and hazard arrears that our members are not enjoying since.
“This brought setback to the learning situation of the Staff and student at large, even the money to fund capital projects of the University are not in our disposal”, Muhammad Sani Gaya.
The ASUU leadership of Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil, added that the action will soon begin as soon as they get approval from ASUU National Secretariat.
