The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Kabir Sani-Giant, Special Adviser to Governor Nasir Idris on Power and Politics, over a prank that involved bringing a snake to the Kebbi Government House.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Birnin Kebbi, APC’s state secretary, Sa’idu Muhammad-Kimba, said the suspension took effect immediately following the February 8 incident, which caused alarm among dignitaries and officials.

Muhammad-Kimba described the act as “unacceptable,” stating that it had the potential to embarrass both the government and the party. He also noted that Sani-Giant’s actions were in violation of the APC constitution.

“The party considers his behavior offensive and unbecoming of a public official. His suspension will remain in effect pending further investigation and possible disciplinary measures, which could include expulsion if such actions are repeated,” the statement read.
