Members of the All Progressives Congress APC in Kazaure, Jigawa State have staged a peaceful protest in favour of House of Representatives Member, Muhammadu Gudaji Kazaure over his recent suspension by the party.
The party members say Kazaure remains unsuspended by the party.
The members who converged on the party Secretariat in Kazaure trudged round major roads to the palace of the Emir of Kazaure.
According to Public Relations Officer of the APC in Kazaure, Muhammad Dauda, the suspension of the House of Reps Member was not done in accordance with the laws.
“The party members really like their member House of Representatives, Muhammad Gudaji Kazaure and they really appreciate him for what he is doing to them.
”The suspension was made by only two people and they did not contact us the Executive Council members” he said.
Meanwhile, the protesters were halted by the Police on their way to the Emir Palace.
