Chidinma Ojukwu, the principal suspect in the murder of SuperTV CEO Micheal Ataga, has been crowned Miss Cell 2022.

The suspect, whose trial is ongoing, won the beauty pageant held at Kirikiri correctional facility.

The event was to mark the 2022 International Women’s Day.

However, Chidinma won the most beautiful and creative female inmate.

Ojukwu, a 300-level, Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), is facing trial alongside her sister, Chioma Egbuchu and one Adedapo Quadri, for Ataga’s murder, competed with other inmates of the prison and won the coveted crown of Miss Cell 2022.

On the last adjourned date on February 21, Ojukwu’s trial was stalled due to the absence of the prosecution witness.

Ojukwu is standing trial before a Lagos High Court sitting at Tafa Balewa Square TBS.

The defendant is charged alongside her sister, Chioma Egbuchu, and one Adedapo Quadri, for alleged murder, stealing and forgery. (PMN)
