European football giants AC Milan of Italy have announced the signing of Nigerian footballer Samuel Chukwueze of Villarreal FC of Spain.

In a statement on Thursday, the football club said the exciting winger would be at the club till June 30, 2028, adding that Chukwueze had chosen to wear a number 21 football jersey.

The statement read, “AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Samuel Chimerenka Chukwueze from Villarreal CF. The Nigerian forward has signed for the Rossoneri until June 30, 2028.

“Born in Umuahia (Nigeria) on May 22, 1999, Samuel (Chukwueze) came through the Diamond Football Academy Youth Sector before moving to Villarreal in 2017.

“With the Spanish club’s B team, he played 20 games and scored four goals before making his debut with the senior team in September 2018, going on to feature 207 times, score 37 goals, and win one Europa League.”

According to the statement, Chukwueze has been capped 28 times for Nigeria and scored four goals.

“Samuel Chukwueze has chosen the number 21 jersey,” the statement said.
