The announcement was made in a statement issued by Uba Abdullahi, PR/Media Specialist, on Sunday. According to the statement, Abumusi’s election reflects his longstanding commitment to improving the lives of pensioners nationwide.

Speaking on the development, Comrade Abdulaziz Alhassan Dambatta, Chairman of the Dambatta Branch of the union, described Abumusi’s emergence as a “giant step” towards advancing the cause of pensioners in Nigeria. He also praised the transparent nature of the election process.

The new executives emerged during a delegate conference supported by the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. Delegates from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory converged at the event, where Comrade Salisu Ahmed Gwale was also elected as the National Vice President, representing the North West Zone.

Dambatta extended his heartfelt congratulations to both Abumusi and Gwale, applauding their dedication to the union’s mission. He also expressed deep appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for sponsoring the conference, promising that pensioners would not forget his support and would continue to pray for his success in office.
