Former Member of the House of Representatives representing Kano, Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, has sponsored 2000 students who cannot afford to pay the N11,500 naira for the 2021 National Examination Council and National Board For Arabic and Islamic Studies examinations.

While addressing the students at his hometown Kofa, Bebeji, Hon. Jibrin described his decision to pay the fees for the students as his contribution to the educational sector, which will have a multi-dimensional positive impact on different sectors, including the security of our dear country.

Abdulmumin Jibrin, who currently serves as the Executive Director, Business Development, Federal Housing Authority, said that even though the state government has played a commendable part in sponsorship for the students, “we need to consolidate on that as a modest way of supporting the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari and our dear state under Governor Umar Ganduje.

“I want to restore hope on you and ensure you continue to have faith in the path of education you have chosen. Many of you that cannot sponsor themselves to write NECO or NBAIS have it today.

“We don’t want to see you roaming the streets, and it is a collective responsibility of every well-meaning Nigerians to support the government in making the lives of the people better”. He also appealed to the beneficiaries to utilize the opportunity towards making their future brighter.

The event was attended by students, union leaders, community leaders, party leaders and stakeholders across the board.
