Speaking at the Haske Satumari Foundation Colloquium in Abuja on Saturday, Jonathan expressed disappointment over the removal of democratically elected leaders. He emphasized that such actions weaken the country’s reputation and portray it as politically unstable.

He further warned that instability within government institutions discourages investors, as a nation’s attractiveness for investment is linked to the conduct of its executive, legislative, and judicial arms. Jonathan also highlighted the importance of judicial independence, stressing that external interference erodes public trust in the system.
