The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has provided N330,000 to support the funeral of 19-year-old Patience Simon, who was allegedly shot by its personnel in Kano.

Her mother, Mrs. Beauty Simon, disclosed this in an interview, saying the operatives also assisted with vehicles for the burial, which took place on March 12, 2025, at Yelwan Kagadama in Bauchi State, Grassroots Parrot reports.

Late Patience was a secondary school graduate and the first of her parents’ two daughters.

She was reportedly shot on the night of Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Jaba quarters, Kano. Two NDLEA operatives, Nass Ridwan Usman, 23, and Sna Ismaila Yakubu, 26, were taken into custody in connection with the incident. Police officers at the scene rushed the victim to Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
