Over 12 Air Force personnel from Sam Ethnan Barracks, Ikeja, Lagos, stormed the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) office, assaulting staff and vandalizing property.

IKEDC spokesperson Kingsley Okotie disclosed in a phone conversation with Vanguard that the personnel invaded the office on Thursday, arriving in a truck around 8 a.m. He said they seized laptops and phones while attacking employees.

Okotie linked the invasion to the company’s disconnection of electricity to the Air Force base ten days earlier over a N4 billion debt.

He also alleged that the personnel destroyed office infrastructure, including IT systems and CCTV cameras, and seized 16 company vehicles, forcing drivers to operate them.
